Marie completed her Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) at Victoria University. She has over 6-years experience working in community and private mental health sectors, working with individuals and facilitating groups.

Marie offers a warm, empathic and collaborative approach to psychotherapy. She utilises evidence-based treatments to support individuals to reach their identified goals and has experience working with a wide range of presentations including;

• Anxiety and related disorders
• Mood disorders (depression, bipolar)
• Sleep and insomnia issues
• Borderline Personality Disorder
• Self-esteem and identity issues
• Unhealthy relationship dynamics, attachment and related difficulties
• Life transitions
• Marie is also interested in understanding women’s health difficulties and sexual dysfunction

She is passionate about supporting adults to understand their emotional problems and improve their mental wellbeing.

She uses a number of therapeutic styles; however, tailors her approach to suit the needs and goals of each individual. She looks to understand how each facet of health (biological, psychological and social) impacts the individual.

At the moment, her private practice is situated within Birdwood Street Therapy Group. Outside of private practice she works at a hospital which specialises in the treatment of psychiatric mental health disorders.

When Marie is not at work she loves to be outdoors exploring nature, enjoys cooking delicious feasts and spending quality time with family and friends.
